This article will show you How to Setup Hotlink Protection in Cpanel
Hotlink protection prevents other websites from directly linking to certain files (typically images) on your website. You would want to prevent this if you have copyrighted images, or to simply save on bandwidth usage.
Step 1. Log into Cpanel
Step 2. Click on Hotlink Protection
Step 3. Make sure your own sites are listed, then enter all the file types you want to protect
Step 4. Click the “Allow direct request” box if you want to give the ability to manually enter URLs of a protected file then enter the URL you want to redirect to, for anyone who tries to hotlink to your files or images
Step 5. Click on Submit
Step 6. To Disable the Hotlink protection feature please click on Disable
