The below FAQ will outline the difference between IPV4 and IPV6 records, and how you can add IPV6 records to your domain name.
Example:
A v4 address looks like this : 212.67.202.5
A v6 address will look like this : 2001:0db8:85a3:0000:0000:8a2e:0370:7334
Firstly, you need to ensure your domain is pointed to our name servers:
ns.1-grid.co.za
ns2.1-grid.co.za
If the domain is not pointed to the 1-grid name servers, you will be unable to manage them from the 1-grid control panel.

Please Note: It will take between 24 – 48 hours for the new DNS records to become active.

Log in to your 1-grid control panel

Have a look in the Domains section section.
Select your domain name using the drop-down menu and then click on the Manage button.

Scroll down to the Advanced Domain Settings section and click on the Manage DNS (A, MX, CNAME, TXT) link.

Click onto the Advanced DNS tab.

Select AAAA from the Type drop down list in the Add new entry section.

In the Hostname field enter www
Step 7 of 8
In the Destination IPv6 address field enter the IP address the domain will point to.
Step 8 of 8
Click on the Add button to save the new record.
Please Note: If you already have an existing IPv4 with the same Hostname, you will need to remove this from the DNS settings as the IPv6 replaces the IPv4 Record.
